Leopard Pouffe – Madeleine Castaing x Edmond Petit

I designed this small pouf to be both a decorative object in its own right and a truly practical extra seat. With its leopard print, it brings just the right amount of character to a living room or bedroom, without losing its elegance.

Why this model is special:

The fabric: It's a velvet from Edmond Petit, designed by Madeleine Castaing. I chose it for its softness and because it's a timeless pattern.

The finish: I added large bronze fringes (21 cm) from Passementerie Île-de-France. They give movement to the pouf and a beautiful, neat finish.

Comfort: It is mounted on a solid wood structure (pine and plywood) with firm padding so it can be sat on or used as a footrest.

This is a piece I thoroughly enjoyed making entirely by hand in my workshop in Lyon.
